Half of businesses unaware of impending sexual harassment law, survey suggests

Nearly half (45 per cent) of UK businesses did not know the Worker Protection Act is coming into force this month when asked, despite two thirds (66 per cent) stating that the prevention of sexual harassment is of ‘high importance’ to their firm.

The Worker Protection Act, an amendment of the Equality Act 2010 which will come into force on 26 October, will place a duty on employers to take ‘reasonable steps’ to prevent the sexual harassment of their employees… continue reading
