Husqvarna launches new Apprenticeship programme
Working in partnership with Husqvarna since 2018, we have provided varying levels of training and workforce development ranging from short courses such as train the trainer to leadership and management to also providing Apprenticeship programmes like Lean Manufacturing Operative through to Improvement Practitioner.
Following the success of these programmes and with a continued culture for workforce development Husqvarna have now decided to introduce a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative programme.
Speaking about the reasoning behind the decision Manufacturing Manager, Dan Wilkinson said:
Logistics and material movement within any organisation is a critical function, traditional MHE skills focus on interaction with the MHE to complete a task but with the WMO qualification we aim to deliver this skill across multiple MHE’s and underpin modern warehousing and logistics principles and methodology that support our internal systems, the success of the LMO qualification (Lean Manufacturing Operator) in developing Lean principles within the production areas has proven itself and look forward to seeing the development of those starting the WMO journey
We’d like to wish Wayne Williams, Alfie Morrison, Samuel Opray, Carl Sample and Chloe Geary the best on their new learning journey.
