GEM Partnership Spotlight – August 2024

Returning for August, it’s our Spotlight series

This month we’re highlighting a newly appointed member of the GEM Partnership team, Ryan Morgan, who joined us in July as a Manufacturing Trainer.

Ryan was nominated for this months spotlight by his colleague Brett who said:

Ryan has took to his role like a duck to water. He helped put together the Skills Bootcamp course in such a short turnaround and has contributed to resource building and has jumped straight in to become an integral member of the training team.

His knowledge of manufacturing will only help enhance the experience for our learners.

Ryan’s manager, Kelly Lee, Operations Manager adds:

Ryan has a real passion for training and he takes you on a journey with his high energy, charisma and in-depth knowledge of the manufacturing sector.

Ryan has settled in really well. He has forged great relationships with internal and external stakeholders and is using his expertise to share knowledge with the team. Ryan has been pivotal in creating and delivering our first skills boot camp, which has been a huge success with the majority of learners moving into work immediately after completing the programme.

I’m very proud that Ryan has been nominated within his first 4 weeks with the Company as it demonstrates the impact he’s had in a short space of time. He has a very bright future ahead of him, well done.

We caught up with Ryan regarding his time so far:

I have settled in well at GEM and have already been given the opportunity to go out and teach the new skills bootcamps. The team have been extremely helpful and welcoming. It has been interesting to meet the clients and tour the sites that the Learners will become employees of.

GEM appealed to me as I had prior sector specific knowledge of Manufacturing and Training, I liked the company values and the Learner centric approach.

So far what I’m most enjoying is the Training aspect, I like the time you have within bootcamps to be able to explore lots of different areas of Manufacturing, in order to best prepare the Learners.
