GEM Partnership Spotlight – October 2024

Returning for October, it’s our Spotlight series

This month we have a first, in that we’re highlighting two members of the GEM Partnership team, Beth Conley and Stacey Spence, both of whom have been integral in the businesses development recently.

Beth and Stacey were nominated for this months spotlight by their colleague Kelly Lee, Operations Manager, who said:

I have been very impressed with them both for pushing themselves outside their comfort zone to attend networking meetings, exhibitions and new client meetings.

Engaging with new businesses face to face and across social media to push out the GEM brand and building new relationships as part of our business development strategy. Both are fantastic relationships and having real success.

Well done, very proud of you both.

We caught up with Beth and Stacey regarding their nomination for this month:

Beth

After working for the business for many years in multiple roles, business development was always something that made me nervous. Once starting to do business development and my confidence has grown, I have really enjoyed speaking to new potential partners, letting them know about the workforce solutions we offer at GEM and getting to go out and see the exciting things that are happening in the Manufacturing, Automotive and Supply Chain sectors.

I am passionate about all things recruitment & Training and this is just another part of the skills I have learned throughout my career here.

I have been able to rely on my colleagues and Senior management team to support and guide me in my new venture, GEM have been outstanding on giving myself and others opportunity to explore and develop the skills and passions. We have weekly meetings as a business Development team and knowing that support is there and we can share idea’s/successes has been great!

Stacey

I have enjoyed being involved in business development as I have seen it as a further learning opportunity. It has been exciting/successful and engaging building new relationships whether that has been from networking, calls or site visits. Further supporting the growth of GEM and working very close with the senior management and wider team.

Innovation and differentiation has been a key strategy for overcoming any BD challenges. Exploring unique ways to stand out in a competitive market has been a success with our recruitment/training models. I have a great team around me to support any facing challenges ahead.
